This is my information report on Whina cooper
I picked Whina cooper because she has a movie based on her and her upbringing and how she started the protest at the continuing loss of Māori land.
Something I learnt while doing this information report was when she returned to hokianga in 1983. She died there on 26 march 1994 under panguru mountain in whose shadow. She had been born 98 years before.

I have learnt some new kupu that I didn’t know before in Māori such as
Maramara/Crumbs Arewhana/Elephant and much more 🙂
